Terms & Conditions
This section sets out the terms and conditions applicable to all persons (referred to as "you") who host a fundraising event or activity for the 1 Million Pledge program conducted by Active Faith Ltd (ABN 36 641 798 227) ("we", "us" and "our") using the online fundraising platform on the website 1millionpledge.com.au (!Website”) owned and hosted by Active Faith Ltd.
Active Faith Ltd is a charity registered by the Australian Charities and Not for profits Commission (ACNC) and is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) through the Australian Taxation Office from 3 December 2020. All cash donations of $2 and above to Active Faith Ltd Ltd are tax deductible.
By conducting a fundraising event or activity for the 1 Million Pledge program for Active Faith Ltd, you agree to these Fundraising Terms & Conditions.
FUNDRAISING GUIDELINES
The following Fundraising Guidelines set out the requirements applicable to the conduct of fundraising events and activities using the online fundraising platform on the website 1millionpledge.com.au (!Website”) owned and hosted by Active Faith Ltd.
- By making your Application to Fundraise you agree to comply with the Fundraising Terms and Conditions including these Fundraising Guidelines.
- Any event or activity undertaken to raise funds for Active Faith Ltd may be conducted by you personally or by your group/club/business. However, you, as the Authorised Nominee, will have sole responsibility for upholding the terms and conditions of the event or activity including these Fundraising Terms and Conditions.
- In conducting your approved fundraising event or activity you must comply with:
- Any promotional material that you distribute in relation to your fundraising event or activity must clearly state that the event or activity is “raising funds for Active Faith Ltd 1 Million Pledge”. It is not to be referred to as an Active Faith Ltd event or activity or give the impression that Active Faith Ltd is holding the event or activity.

Our Active Faith Ltd and 1 Million Pledge logos are legally trademarked therefore you must have our approval before using them in your promotional materials. You must not, under any circumstances, edit or alter the logos. You must not screen print, embroider or use the logos to make stickers without seeking explicit approval from Active Faith Ltd. Any use of the logos, beyond the scope of advertising for your approved event or activity must also be pre-approved by Active Faith Ltd.
- Funds you raise will be collected by using the online fundraising platform on the website 1millionpledge.com.au (!Website”) owned and hosted by Active Faith Ltd.
- Generally, Active Faith Ltd will be unable to send a representative to attend fundraising events or activities. Attendance at events or activities by our representative is at the discretion of Active Faith Ltd and dependent on availability.
- You conduct your approved event or activity at your own risk.
- Any person under the age of 16 conducting or participating in an approved event or activity be appropriately supervised by an adult.
- Active Faith Ltd does not have, is not required to have and is unable to provide, any public liability insurance or other insurance in relation to fundraising events or activities organised by you or others. It is your responsibility to obtain all insurances relevant to your fundraising event or activity.
- It is your responsibility to obtain from relevant local and state authorities any licences or approvals required to operate your fundraising event or activity.
- To protect the reputation and goodwill of Active Faith Ltd, you and others assisting you should act in an appropriate matter while conducting your fundraising event or activity.
PANDEMIC AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE HEALTH MANAGEMENT
As your approved event or activity is taking place in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, you agree to adhere to all public health rules and regulations issued by your local, state or federal Government, other regulatory body and the venue at which your event or activity is held.
As the Authorised Nominee, you are responsible for knowing the contact details of all attendees at your event or activity. If you are contacted directly by a government department or agency for the purposes of contact tracing, you must:
- make the contact details of the attendees available to government department or agency (if you have the consent of each group member to do so); or
- contact each attendee, and request that they provide their contact details to the government department or agency directly.
All attendees and proposed attendees, including yourself, must commit to stopping the spread of COVID-19. If at the time of the event or activity, any proposed attendee is feeling unwell or is subject to a self-quarantine or self-isolation period, that person must not attend the event.
EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
None of Active Faith Ltd and our patrons, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, charity and business partners, sponsors and contractors have any responsibility to you or any other person for any accidents, incidents or injuries that occur to you or any other person, or for any losses, damages, costs or expenses that you incur, arising either directly or indirectly, from the conduct of your approved event or activity.
INDEMNITY
At all times you indemnify and will keep indemnified Active Faith Ltd and its officers, employees volunteers, agents, contractors, charity and business partners and sponsors (in this clause referred to as !those indemnified”) from and against any loss (including reasonable legal costs and expenses) or liability incurred by any of those indemnified arising from any claim, demand, suit, action or proceeding by any person against any of those indemnified where such loss or liability arose out of, in connection with or in respect of any breach a Letter of Authority or these Fundraising Terms and Conditions.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
Your Letter of Authority and these Fundraising Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Victoria, Australia, and you acknowledge that you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and any court hearing appeals from those courts.
